Huobi Launches Consortium of Defi Providers and Platforms

With the goal of promoting Decentralized Finance, the Singapore based exchange Huobi is cooperating with MakerDAO and Compound, announced on Monday.

The so-called “Global Defi Alliance” includes a collection of DeFi service providers and platforms. A total of five members make up the initial round of efforts, the list is below:

  • Huobi (leading the effort.)
  • MakerDao
  • Compound
  • Nest
  • dYdX

Their goal, according to Huobi’s chief investment officer, Sharlyn Wu, it is the first attempt in human history to build a financial system void of credit risk.
